Acas responds to the EHRC's new sexual harassment guidance

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) has published new guidance on sexual harassment in the workplace.

Read 'Sexual harassment and harassment in the workplace' on the EHRC website.

Acas's Head of Diversity, Julie Dennis, says:

"Sexual harassment at work is unacceptable and we welcome the EHRC's new advice in this area. This guidance will help employers and staff identify behaviours that can be reported as sexual harassment, practical steps to help prevent and deal with any incidents, and explain people’s legal rights.

"The use of non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) in discrimination and sexual harassment cases have also been in the spotlight and we are launching new advice on NDAs next month to help prevent their misuse at work. It is vitally important for workplace environments to be open, inclusive and welcoming so that staff feel safe."
