Details

This independent research explores statutory and non-statutory flexible working practices across different sectors and organisations.

The study looked at 5 different organisations from different sectors to find out:

  • how flexible working policy is developed
  • how industry and organisational factors affect flexible working arrangements
  • how line managers handle and make flexible working decisions
  • what different approaches offer employers

The research was written by Jane Parry, Barbara Bradbury, and Michail Veliziotis of Southampton Business School.
