Creating effective HR - Part 1: Systems and policies

The e-learning modules, booklets and leaflet below offer practical assistance to employers in developing key HR systems and policies:

  • Acas Learning OnLine provides a useful e-learning resource for anyone wanting to refresh their knowledge and improve their approach to employment relations issues.
    • Pay & Reward covers pay and the law, pay systems, benefits and rewards which could include other incentives
    • Equality & Diversity covers equality, diversity and discrimination; the law surrounding these; and how to create an effective equality and diversity policy.
    • Bullying & Harassment covers bullying and harassment at work, what the law says, and the need for a policy and what it should include.
  • Each of these certificated modules includes a test at the end. To access the modules you will need to go to Acas Learning OnLine and register or login.
  • pdf icon Advisory booklet - Pay systems [132kb] is an introduction to a variety of pay systems currently in operation in organisations and how to select one. It looks in detail at basic rate systems, incentive schemes for individuals and incentive schemes for groups.
