Acas signs up to the Armed Forces Covenant

Workplace expert, Acas, has signed up to the Armed Forces Covenant.

The Covenant is a pledge that acknowledges and understands that those who serve in the armed forces and their families should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy and society they serve.

Acas Head of Diversity, Julie Dennis, said:

"The Armed Forces Covenant helps to recognise the service that the military and their families contribute towards our country and the valuable skills they can bring into the workplace.

"Acas has existing policies that ensures reservists and cadets can access special paid leave when they need to train. We also have good practice advice to help other staff understand the needs of military personnel that work at Acas. 

"We are proud to sign this agreement to help enhance our reputation as a friendly place to work for people who serve in the military and currently serving as reservists."

By signing the Armed Forces Covenant, Acas joins over 2000 businesses and organisations across the country who are supporting veteran and reserve personnel.
