Leading the Way: The Future of People Management conference - 1 December 2015

On Tuesday 1 December, Acas North West (in partnership with CIPD Liverpool and the Liverpool Law Society) held a conference at the Liverpool Museum focussing on leadership and people management.

Speakers were Max Steinberg (Liverpool Vision), Peter Cheese (CEO CIPD), Sir Brendan Barber (Chair, Acas), Tim Scott (the Brook Charity), Dawn Smedley (OC Tanner), Cathy Brown (Engage for Success) and Emlyn Williams (President of Liverpool Law Society and Weightmans).

We considered how HR can impact on the "bottom line" through effective management of people and specifically looked at Productivity, Engagement, Social Media and Recognition/Appreciation as well as reflecting on potential legislative developments in the next couple of years.
 
Over 100 HR professionals, employers, people managers and trade union representatives joined us on the day to make it an informative and memorable event. Slides from the event are available below:
