Acas Chief Executive Anne Sharp said:

"The UKCES Autumn statement recognises the need to harness the talents of the UK workforce through collaborative leadership. With over forty years' experience of helping to improve workplace effectiveness, Acas fully understands the part that joint decision-making can play in improving job design and job satisfaction. Good workplace relationships and practices, including effective development and use of skills, provide the best possible platform for building more productive organisations.

"Every year, thousands of employers and employees come to Acas for guidance and training on how to improve the experience of being in work and make the most of their time and skills.

"We support the work UKCES has done and will work with them and others to explore this further."
