Acas training recognised by The Scottish Centre for Healthy Working Lives (SCHWL)

Key to the promotion of healthy workplaces is the role of the line manager

Acas Scotland has developed a range of training specifically designed to up-skill managers and supervisors in this important area.

Our absence management training has been reviewed by the SCFHWL who have assessed our courses as being suitable to generate evidence contributing towards the Healthy Working Lives awards.

The SCHWL has also recognised that our courses support employee health and wellbeing and promote attendance.

The following courses can count towards bronze, silver and gold awards:

  • managing absence
  • return to work interviews - how to get them right
  • stress in the workplace.
  • mental health awareness for employers

These half day events are available on our open access programme or can be delivered in your own workplace.

The SCHWL award programme support employers and employees to develop health promotion and safety themes in the workplace in a practical, logical way, that's beneficial to all.
