Bringing workplace disputes to life - chapter 1
Where a problem or disagreement in the workplace is likely to lead to a tribunal claim, Acas will often be able to offer free and impartial pre-claim conciliation (PCC).
Watch our interactive workshop below, which shows an Acas conciliator diffusing a dispute using PCC. The dispute is about an unfair dismissal claim, one of the most common types of dispute we deal with at Acas.
Listen to how our conciliator works with both parties to make sure all viewpoints are understood to get matters moving forward and help them find a solution that is acceptable to both.
Note that both the roles of the employer and employee in this workshop are played by actors.
