Acas South West
We work with employers and employees to improve organisations and working life through better employment relations. You can make an appointment to come in and see us, or arrange for an adviser to visit or discuss issues over the phone and give advice and guidance. We run authoritative training courses: our 'Getting it right' range for small business issues and 'In Depth sessions' for larger organisations. For specific requirements we can customise training sessions to run in-house. We also work closely with organisations to assess their current situation and give recommendations on improvements that will increase efficiency.

Certificate in internal workplace mediation
Dealing with conflict in the workplace is costly, not dealing with it can cost even more. Acas can draw on over 30 years of experience in dispute and conflict resolution to help you.
CIPD report that over half of the workforce has received no training in managing conflict despite it costing employers more than £24 billion in lost working days.
More than two-thirds of managers have had no formal training in this area despite 370 million UK working days being used to manage workplace conflict.

Over the last year 99 per cent of trainees told us they were either satisfied or very satisfied with their CIWM training.
The course can also be run within individual workplaces, or if several employers wanted to join together to run a course it can be run amongst a group of businesses.
