Anna Lakshmi Sabapathy "My friends wondered why I wanted to join Acas, after spending most of my career working at global investment banks. "What they didn't know is that Acas offers challenges and opportunities that you're not exposed to in the corporate world. From the very start I found myself seeing some high level industrial disputes we were working on and I saw the full scale of real-world impact that Acas has.

"I work with employers from different sectors in making their workplaces the best they can be. Acas helps millions of people every year, and we tailor our help to their individual needs. Acas keeps employees working, Britain productive and the economy buoyant.

"My big message for others is if you want to challenge yourself and to grow, then Acas is the place for you. You'll also be joining the civil service so where better to develop your career aspirations and goals?

Working at Acas

"I started work for Acas four years ago as a Helpline Adviser in Glasgow. Before coming to Acas I worked in customer service and retail after graduating university. With the help of management and my own willingness to get on, I have developed and progressed in my role and I am now a tutor, deputy manager and work on early conciliation.

"I very much enjoy working with Acas and really feel part of a 'team'. There are shared common goals and we all help and support each other to reach these. I forward to what the future holds for me in the organisation."
