Equality and diversity
Promoting equality and diversity and ensuring all your employees feel valued is vital in the modern workplace. It makes good business sense too, as workers who feel valued are usually more productive and less likely to leave your employment.
Audits
These audits assess attitudes in your workplace towards four issues: religion and belief, sexual orientation, age and gender reassignment. They make it easy to create a snapshot of where you are and where you need to be to create a welcoming environment for everyone.
The audit forms (see forms below) include questions to ask your employees and colleagues; they reveal attitudes and behaviour and assess awareness of equality regulations. The score sheets help you to analyse the answers, while the guidance notes advise on how to carry out the audit and what to do next.
